April, 2009: As a relatively new member to BNI, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. What I have experienced has been “priceless”.  I joined BNI in October 2008 and since that time I have made connections with individuals and groups not only by following the BNI process but also because the members of River City BNI are dedicated to the Mission, Givers Gain. 

Doors have been opened for me:

• presenting workshops and trainings -- teaching High School Seniors how to present themselves for College interviews and essays
• promoting Wellness and Success in individuals through knowledge and skill building
• coaching parents and teens in communication skills
• supporting individuals in moving through barriers that keep them “stuck”
• attending other networking meetings
  

As a Certified Life Coach it is not always easy for members to see how they can refer someone. However, when I explain the impact of coaching along with specific referral needs during the presentation opportunities we have here at BNI, I reap the benefits of everyone here creating endless possibilities with me. Without BNI it would be like planting bulbs in the garden... it works and the blooms come with time – with the help of my BNI partners, it is like planting grass seed – the growth is plentiful and goes way beyond the garden!
